Our Story

Our combined story starts in 2001 with Contact Center Services. Fahrney's needed help with catalog order taking and customer service using their JDA/Ecometry retail order management system. They also needed help with overflow and after-hour calls.

In 2005 Fahrney's wanted to complement its brick and mortar store and add an online sales channel. They selected Ability's SmartSite Ecommerce Platform to seamlessly exchange information with Ecometry and added Ability's SmartStaff digital marketing services team to manage their SmartSite platform.

Over the course of Fahrney’s more than 15 year relationship with Ability, additional SmartStaff services were added to help acquire, convert and retain customers. Digital Marketing Services such as Google Analytics Management, Pay-Per Click and Website Creative services were added to help grow ecommerce sales and customer engagement.

Most recently, in 2015, Fahrney’s was looking for a new ERP solution that met their needs for features, scalability and overall cost of ownership. Ability’s CCS OMS was a natural fit because of the company’s familiarity with not only the SmartSite platform but with Ability’s strong professional strength in Ecometry subject matter expertise ensuring a successful legacy data transfer and continued support of our existing relationship.
